Fresh It Up:
Body oils and skin cells that become trapped in the fabric of the crown and sweat band from wearing your Cap go through a natural breakdown cycle that causes bacterial odour. On lighter coloured Caps this looks like an oil stain around the bottom of the Cap. We refer to these stains as being organic, and use a gentle enzyme process to break up the organic stains leaving your Cap looking and smelling fresh. We can also remove stains of just about any kind, grass, dirt, blood...Shape It Up:
With normal wear you may notice your Cap doesn’t quite have the same shape and firmness that it did when you first purchased it. Like many other accessories Caps are in constant motion, being put on, taken off, and if you have the gift, Cap tricks. When your cap was first manufactured, it was put on a large machine that steamed your Cap into its final shape allowing the fibres in the fabric to stick together and be ridged. Through motion, the fibres in the fabric naturally soften and become flexible again resulting in your Cap losing its profile. Our shape it up process uses steam and fabric stiffening agents that restore your Caps profile.Stretch It Up:
If you’ve ever worn you Cap in the rain and let it air dry, if you’ve ever washed it yourself and put it in the dryer, or if they only had it in that size and you had to have it anyway, then you know a Cap that can’t be worn it a terrible waste. When King of Caps stretches it up, we steam your Cap on a mold and can stretch your Cap one full size bigger, and in some cases depending on the fabric type, up to two sizes.Fix It Up:
For whatever reason, be it age or handling, Caps sometimes suffer broken threads. Caps are commonly made using the Lockstich. The Lockstich is composed of two separate interlocking threads and when one of these threads break the entire seam comes undone. At King of Caps we can re-stitch your broken seams, patch holes, re-cover buttons, and re-sew eyelets. Ice It Up:
